Excerpt of “Guillotine” co-wrote with Christie Ratcliff

“It’s fear that holds you, fear that drives you and binds you … and fear that made you scream… “Kill her, kill her” before she shows the Way … before more of our countless masses turn to Jesus’ Name …your lies dispersed, cut through the air like knives, … swords plunged into my back as you try and slay me … rather than confront me face to face, you sent your faceless charge to apprehend me … dragged up the steps, the creaking, splintered wood like the cross, my feet split open on the rough hewn… and when the rope slid over my neck, my eyes met yours… I forgive you….drag me through a crowd of many….expressions cold as ice…I will not run…. I’ll die for my god….but I thought about it twice…with bloody knees…I kneel before…a choice of mortal life or death….the numbers of the devil or a blade that steals my breath…a frenzied crowed cheers for me to choose who I will serve today…a tear falls from my nose and to God I pray for strength…”
